Routine for L

NEEDING MOISTURE--->
My daughter L has 3c/4a hair. I wash her hair once a week with a SULFATE & PARABEN FREE shampoo and condition everyday. I finger detangle her hair while the conditioner is in starting with her ends, being careful NOT TO RIP at any knots and damaging her hair. L's hair is very thick so I do this in sections. Once I have loosened all the large tangles and I can run my fingers through her hair I use a wide tooth comb to finish detangling, braiding each section as I go to prevent new knots. Leaving the braids in I rinse L's hair with warm-NOT HOT water and pat dry-DON'T RUB. Before styling I get all of my supplies and some toys ready. Being 2 yrs old she does not usually cooperate with intricate styles so many of hers are simple. We always add our homemade oil mixture and sometimes a moisturizing cream before styling, making sure to wet her hair as needed. I do not style her hair when its dry unless it was banded. Goody Ouchless bands are my preference most often but I also use rubberbands. Always soak rubberbands in olive/grapeseed oil (or other oil) before using. Squeezing products in rather than rubbing is best. I will post some pictures of products that we have tried and homemade mixtures that we count on. The biggest factor is moisture!! Get it in anyway you can.
